Eucalyptus is one of the most widely used essential oils in the world. It is known for its distinctive, fresh, herbacious aroma as well as its variety of properties including : temporary relief of brochial coughs, colds, catarrh and sinisitus. Eucalyptus is reputed to have antiseptic, antibacterial, anti viral and decongestant properties so is a great winter time oil to help with syptoms of cold, flu and mild upper respiratory tract infections. 

Eucalyptus is great for the following:

VAPOURISATION - add 4-8 drops. 

CHEST RUB - add  4-6 drops to 10ml carrier oil (2-3 drops for children)

INHALATION - add 6 drops to 1 litre of steaming water. Use a towel to cover the head, close the eyes                                            

           while inhaling the steam vapour. NOT reccommended for asthmatics. Use 3 drops for children. 

BATH - add 10-12 drops to a full bath. 

            (Ideally mix essential oil into 1Tbsp vegetable Glycerine, then add to bath for even dispersion)

CLEANING - add to baking soda/vinegar for natural cleaning and de-greasing the kitchen. Use neat to   

               deoderise and clean the bathroom and to remove soap scum from tiles. Use neat to remove 

               chewing gum, adhesive left behind from labels, stains and spots from clothing.
